DESIGN PARAMETERS

This 300,000-gallon-per-day temporary wastewater treatment system, located in Texas, was fully assembled and tested off-site, then installed on-site in under eight days, despite rain delays.

System Design & Features:

The system employs the Bardenpho process with anoxic and aeration stages, optimized for stringent aquifer discharge requirements. Designed for an initial low flow of ~10,000 GPD, it scales to manage peak flows at full build-out. Key features include an influent flow meter, washer compactor using treated effluent, emergency overflow equalization storage, and a utility water pump skid. The compact design supports future phase expansion with minimal initial investment.

Advanced Treatment & Compliance:

Effluent passes through Headworks, anoxic zones, aeration basins with DO monitoring, and a membrane train. Automated blowers enhance biological treatment, mitigating startup issues. The system meets TCEQ standards, featuring 120-minute peak flow storage and redundancy for pumps, blowers, and sensors.

Sludge, Chemical, & Space Management:

Sludge is managed via a waste-activated sludge pump algorithm, with aerated storage ready for future drying processes. Blue-white CIP chemical pumps are SCADA-controlled with remote monitoring. The compact layout includes pre-designed sound attenuation options and efficient use of space for critical components.

Effluent & Power Control:

UV disinfection uses recirculated water to minimize bulb wear, with redundant units prepared for expansion. Control systems include a NEMA 4X MCC panel with air conditioning, a 17-inch SCADA interface, and remote access. A standby generator ensures system reliability.
