COMING SOON TO THE ISLAND OF KAUAI!

We are very proud to announce that a 150,000 gallon per day MEMPAC-M is coming soon to a resort on the Island of Kauai! Designed specifically to meet strict municipal project specifications, the MEMPAC-M is Cloacina’s unrivaled membrane bioreactor with the longest life cycle of any of Cloacina’s package wastewater treatment plants. The MEMPAC-M is designed for municipal clients with stringent discharge requirements or the desire to reclaim treated effluent for reuse or ground disposal.

COMING SOON TO LOS ANGELES COUNTY

We are proud to announce that an 8,000 gallon per day MEMPAC-E is coming soon to a hotel in Los Angeles County! Special features of this project include buried tankage, a remote equipment skid and UV disinfection.

The MEMPAC-E, designed for flow ranges of 5,000 – 50,000 Gallons Per Day (GPD) in increments of 5,000 gallons, has standard, streamlined designs and economized equipment selections while still incorporating most of the revolutionary features of the other MEMPAC models. Stay tuned for more exciting details about this project!

NEW PRODUCT: MEET THE MEMPAC-S

Cloacina’s MEMPAC-S (Scalping) is one of the most revolutionary products currently available in wastewater treatment. Untreated domestic wastewater is intercepted, pumped out of the gravity sewer into the MEMPAC-S, treated to reuse standards and then discharged to irrigate parks and common areas, used to offset agricultural, irrigation or commercial water usage or recharge groundwater supplies using direct injection. Untreated solids are returned to the sewer. A scalping plant is an alternative to centralized wastewater treatment that can provide secondary or tertiary treatment within a smaller facility.

In times of drought and mandatory water conservation measures, it is no longer responsible to irrigate sports complexes, flowerbeds and medians with potable water, nor is it tenable to continue to send a valuable resource to final discharge locations such as the ocean when communities are struggling to maintain groundwater balance. Fabricated from stainless steel, the MEMPAC-S can reclaim 100% of the treated effluent in accordance with Title 22 requirements or any other state or national regulations, lessening the strain on diminishing potable water and groundwater supplies. By performing treatment adjacent to the disposal location, a scalping plant is an affordable reuse option.

ENGINEERING SUPPORT SERVICES

Over the past decade, Cloacina has become a trusted resource for engineering firms across the United States. We specialize in providing a complete wastewater equipment menu from inlet to outlet. Our Engineering Team supports your design and Client from inception through start-up, installation and commissioning of the equipment and during the warranty period. Cloacina plants have expedited proposal, design, permitting, construction and installation time frames compared to traditional treatment methods. We provide process calculations, modeling, and documentation, per your specifications or ours, for selection and design of our plants and equipment including: equipment specifications, PFDs, P&IDs, controls panel drawings, controls strategies and equipment data for inclusion in your submittals.

You approve the design. We provide the process guarantee and equipment liability.

Working with Cloacina allows you to work on wastewater projects without a process engineer on staff and allows you to complete more projects every year acting as the Project Manager that oversees our pre-engineered designs. We can also assist your Client with the interface of our equipment with their existing facilities.

WOMEN IN WATER: HYPATIA OF ALEXANDRIA

Hypatia of Alexandria is estimated to be born in 370 CE in Alexandria, Egypt. She was the daughter of a mathematician and professor at the University of Alexandria. Her father, Theon, taught her math, astronomy and philosophy. He raised her as if she were a son, teaching her the ways of his trade. She never married and devoted her life to studying.

Her studies included mechanics, which lead to trial and error of inventions. Her inventions included something comparable to a water distiller, a device that measured water levels as well as a graduated hydrometer to measure the relative density of liquids.

We do not see these inventions around today, but she is seen and viewed as one of the smartest women of her time and is held in high regard within the scientific community.

Hypatia is known as one of the first female philosophers and was one of the last recorded mathematicians of the Alexandrian tradition.

COMING SOON TO SOUTH CAROLINA

We are proud to announce that a 42,000 gallon per day MEMPAC-X is coming soon to a campground and RV park in North Carolina. Cloacina's MEMPAC-X is a cost-effective treatment solution designed for low flow domestic applications with stringent discharge requirements. The MEMPAC-X can treat 5,000 gallons per day with the standard Cloacina-supplied stainless steel tankage but is designed to be easily expanded to treat up to 25,000 gallons per day with the incorporation of additional Cloacina or client-provided external tanks. This system can reclaim 100% of the treated effluent for irrigation and sanitation purposes and has expedited construction and delivery timelines. Stay tuned for more details and photos from this project.
