Cold-Weather Design and Efficiency

To ensure year-round performance in Montana’s extreme winter conditions, the MEMPAC-X MBR system was installed inside a specially designed building. This enclosure prevents components from freezing and supports reliable operation, regardless of temperature fluctuations.

Low-Flow Adaptability

A key advantage of the MEMPAC-X system is its ability to operate efficiently at low flow rates. By lowering the water level, the system maintains optimal biological treatment even when flows are lower than anticipated. This flexibility ensures consistent performance under varying operational conditions.

Explosion-Proof Safety Features

Addressing the risk of flammable gas buildup from wastewater off-gassing, Class 1 Division 1 explosion-proof headworks were implemented. This design meets stringent safety standards outlined by the NEC and OSHA, making operations safe within the enclosed facility.

Filtration and Flow Management

The system includes two low-flow fine screens in a separate room, filtering wastewater before it reaches the MEMPAC-X system. This separation streamlines the treatment process and enhances system efficiency.

Expandable Design

The MEMPAC-X system includes connection points for future expansion, offering scalable wastewater treatment capacity. Although no expansion is currently planned, this feature ensures long-term flexibility.

Client-Supplied Tanks

Cloacina provided advisory support for integrating two client-supplied 5,000-gallon equalization tanks, ensuring compatibility with the overall design. The project was marked by smooth collaboration with the client’s experienced engineering team, facilitating a streamlined installation.
